What I like best about massage/bodywork and energy medicine: For me, it is a privilege and honor to share my gifts and skills with clients. I cherish my clients for they give me the opportunity to do something that I truly love, assisting them on their path to wholeness and wellness. My clients also help to evolve me and what I do in my practice. Being a massage therapist gives me the opportunity to learn more about the body, mind and spirit.
Who am I? I was born in Wisconsin on a 400 acre dairy farm. My father and grandfather also owned and managed a campground. During my childhood, I had a lot of health issues. I have spent most of my life searching for healing. I started my search in conventional western medicine. I learned a great deal, but did not find my healing there. I developed a cervical spinal injury which led me to a massage therapist; eventually I enrolled into a massage training program (1992). I am now a professional student of the body, mind and spirit!
I live in Knife River, MN (14 miles north of Duluth, MN), on the north shore of Lake Superior, where my husband and I own and manage the Knife River Campground. We have two border collies and a cat that help us to stay grounded and in the present moment. We rescued them and they have rescued us right back!
